Position Summary: Our teachers are the key to our students' success. The role of our teachers is to facilitate a dynamic learning environment that engages all students in a rigorous and relevant educational experience that meets individual needs while holding all students to a high standard of performance. Our teachers collaborate with each other on an ongoing basis in their quest to continue their development and professional growth. Teachers receive regular observation, coaching, professional development, and support from the Principal and Assistant Principals. Essential Duties: Creates an effective and engaging learning environment that aligns with school-wide values, behavioral expectations, and positive behavioral support systems. Utilize effective teaching practices to teach curriculum for assigned grades and subjects so that student master grade level standards. Develops and teaches standards-based lessons that provide all students with rigorous instruction aligned to district curriculum. Actively participates in weekly teacher-led, grade-level and content-level professional learning communities. Actively participates in the data-driven instruction cycle including regularly utilizing data from formative, interim, and benchmark assessments to evaluate student progress and make adjustments to instruction to ensure all students are making adequate growth. Maintain an orderly, positive learning environment free from disruptive behavior by implementing proactive classroom management strategies and adhering to the school discipline policies. Proactively communicates with and engages parents and guardians as partners in supporting student educational goals. Supports the development of the whole child including social-emotional skills. Complies with all applicable State and Federal laws and District policies. Minimum Qualifications: ? Must hold or qualify for Colorado Licensure in the related level and subject area of teaching. ? Understanding of standards-based instruction and the data-driven instructional cycle ? Knowledge of Colorado State Content Standards preferred Other Essential Skills: Specific Content Skills: Demonstrate an understanding of the Colorado state standards for levels and subject areas of teaching certification. Ability to deepen student's literacy skills across the curriculum through exposure to non-fiction texts, opportunities to practice skills in citing evidence to text, and writing across the curriculum. Position Specific Duties: Teach 6 classes a day, 3 grades for the school district year Utilize the seasons and the garden space to enhance classroom curriculum Plan 3 field trips for the classes Prepare for and attend the electives showcase Communicate clearly to AmeriCorps garden coordinator responsibilities in the garden seeding plan, production plan, orchard management, greenhouse management, general maintenance, building projects Support AmeriCorps on their teaching days Co-teaching Provide AmeriCorps with feedback Check in with AmeriCorps member daily/weekly about responsibilities and lesson plans. Walk through garden with AmeriCorps member to make sure responsibilities are being met. Attend staff meetings (all staff and senior staff) twice a month Attend and work at any school to farm event - Homespun Supper - Hoedown Manage the garden in the summers (5 hrs/week) to make sure AmeriCorps feels supported and responsibilites are met Utilize student time to accomplish garden tasks Incorporate garden tasks into lesson plans Coordinate with kitchen staff and warehouse staff for food distribution Keep clear line of communication between district (principal) and school to farm (director) This Position Reports to: The Principal " />

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
