Corporate Operations Manager

Responsible for the overall management of the member services, information technology, and facilities departments. This includes but is not limited to providing direction, establishing organization, establishing and evaluating processes and tools, developing and enforcing controls, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, and developing and administering budgets for these departments.
Serves as a subject matter expert for all technologies, processes, procedures, and policies employed by each managed department.
Facilitates effective communication within managed departments and between managed departments and the rest of the cooperative.
Ensures effective external communication occurs between the cooperative and the public.
Works together cooperatively with other employees on cross-departmental projects.
Provides customer support to consumers of the cooperative as needed.
Assists the General Manager in developing and executing strategic initiatives and courses of action for the cooperative.
Supports the General Manager in apprising the Board of Directors of the business affairs of the cooperative.
Aids in developing and evaluating cooperative policies and procedures.
Assists in the review, development, and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents including but not limited to union contracts, franchise agreements, power purchase agreements, wheeling contracts, contractor agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
Represents the cooperative at meetings, conferences, and other public events as needed.
Interacts with the media on behalf of the cooperative as needed.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required. Emphasis in business management or related field desired.
Work experience in the electric utility industry desired.
Five (5) years' management experience desired.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, legal documents, technical documents, and governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from superiors, peers, subordinates, customers, and the public in a variety of situations and settings.
Ability to clearly communicate job expectations to subordinates.
Ability to apply principles of logic, algebra, geometry, and statistics to solve problems and analyze data.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
