Ignacio Cook

Ignacio School District is accepting applications for a cook. Position is open until filled. The Cook follows HACCP Policy, assists in food preparation, cooks a variety of foods in large quantities, serves meals, cleans and sanitizes cafeteria tables and kitchen area as required by HACCP policy, helps with school foodservice inventory, completes assigned paperwork, cashiers, counts the money and balances cash box at end of each day, and other duties as assigned. The Cook reports to the food service director / building principal. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; prior food service experience preferred Knowledgeable about foods and food preparation. Can assume supervisory responsibility within area of jurisdiction. Is neat and clean. Possesses good health. Has a pleasing personality and is compatible with other staff members and students. Ability to work in harmony with other people. Ability to relate well with students. Position requires normal strength and endurance for standing, lifting, sitting, bending, and walking. Lifting and carrying between 25 and 50 pounds is a normal requirement of the position. RESPONSIBILITIES The Cook's responsibilities include?. Consulting with director of food services regarding cafeteria needs, menus, supplies, maintenance and technology work orders. Estimating quantity of food and supplies needed; checking and converting recipes. Responsibility for neat and orderly maintenance of all equipment and food items stored at one's kitchen site. Assisting in receiving, storing, and moving of food and supplies. Assisting in food preparation, transporting food as necessary, serving food, collecting and washing cooking utensils and dishes / trays. Cleaning kitchens, cafeteria, and equipment. Working in a safe manner and observing all safety and sanitation procedures. Responsibility for record keeping, including on site food and equipment inventories, meal production records, HACCP recordkeeping. Responsibility for collection of fees, accurate computer input regarding money collected and meals eaten, and reconciliation of cash box at end of day. Other duties as assigned. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
