PS - HS - Part-time Student Success Liason

TITLE: Pagosa Springs High School Part time Check and Connect Student Success Liaison POSITION DESCRIPTION: Student Success Liaisons will work with School Health Team to identify and provide needed support to students, to increase student academic engagement and achievement. Supports will include the Whole Child Initiative. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in education or human service field preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working with children and adolescents, youth agencies, social services and/or school systems. Persistence. Belief that all youth have the ability to learn. Maintains a generally positive outlook Has the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers Observes all district policies and procedures REPORTS TO: Building Principal or designee Health and Wellness Programs Manager PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Work to build positive relationships with students and families, in order to facilitate communication and promote problem solving both at the individual level and between home and school. Track identified students' level of engagement through academic progress, school attendance, and discipline reports on a daily/weekly basis. Use data from systematic monitoring to create personalized interventions for the student. Attend staff meetings, IEP meetings, facilitating student/family transportation for dropout prevention and school completion related activities, and conducting home visits as needed. Integrate into and/or create School Health Teams at their school to assess gaps in student supports. Conduct a gaps analysis within their assigned school. Create or collaborate on a comprehensive School Health Improvement Plan for each assigned school, in coordination with the School Health Team and HAC (Health Advisory Council). Apply the Check and Connect model within the school. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary: Based upon District's adopted salary schedule, with salary commensurate with education. Work Schedule: 173 days per year or as designated by the annual school calendar Benefits: Per Board adopted benefit schedule Hours: Based on 20-28 hours per week, with schedule determined in conjunction with building principals. FLSA Status: Non-exempt/classified EVALUATION: As per board policy regarding classified evaluations. " />



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
